Biodegradable wildlife habitat

ReHabitat Pods for bush fire recovery and habitat restoration.

The Challenge

When bush fires sweep through our landscape, the ground cover is consumed. Small marsupials like bandicoots, antechinus, bush rats, and eastern pygmy possums are left vulnerable and easy prey for invasive predators like foxes and feral cats.

The next fire season is predicted to be disastrous. Three years of La Nina has created lush vegetation growth that is now drying out as we head into El Nino, becoming a nightmare fuel load.

ReHabitat Pods are biodegradable habitat units that can be used as an emergency response for wildlife after a fire or other disaster. They can be left in place to disintegrate, leaving no trace on the environment.
